A small fishing village found in the north of Lanzarote next door to Arrieta, Punta de Mujeres is a beautiful and serene resort. It’s ideally located as a base from which to explore a number of other resorts and attractions on the island, being only ten minutes away from the Cactus Garden, Jameos del Agua, Green Caves, Mirador del Rio and the Valley of a Thousand Palms.

The natural rugged shoreline of Punta de Mujeres provides the ideal place to explore and have fun. There are numerous rock pools teeming with fascinating wildlife, as well as several large pools where you can enjoy a refreshing dip. These swimming pools are easily accessed and are protected from the waves, creating the perfect conditions for those who prefer to avoid the sometimes rough conditions of the sea.

In addition to the natural rock pools, Punta de Mujeres also features a pleasant pebble cove found in the centre of the village. Here you can lie your towel down on the warm, smooth pebbles and work on your tan or enjoy a cool swim in the aquamarine waters. This beach is a popular scuba diving and snorkeling spot, thanks to the crystal-clear waters and superb collection of marine life.

If you’re in the mood to shop, you’ll be spoilt for choice in Punta de Mujeres. Here you’ll find a fabulous array of stores and boutiques, ranging from simple souvenir stalls, bakeries and supermarkets to fashion outlets, artisan shops and perfumeries.

Every Saturday morning there’s also a local craft market set up in Haria where you can browse a great number of stalls and pick up some one-of-a-kind handmade gifts and souvenirs. Even if you’re not interested in buying anything, this market is wonderful place to browse.

There are plenty of superb restaurants to choose from throughout the resort, many of which offer amazing sea views, alongside menus full of freshly-caught fish and seafood. You’ll also find a number of bars to choose from, with everything from cheap and cheerful beach-side kiosks to large bars with Canarian entertainment in the form of singers and dancers.

If you’re looking for a charming Canarian village, full of fantastic fish restaurants and many wonderful sea pools, Punta de Mujeres is the resort for you.
